Open from early May to late September every year, the Botanicus Historical Centre is a living museum, a recreation of a medieval hamlet, with a candlemaker, blacksmith, potter and more. Throughout the summer there are special events, bringing the village to life with the bustle, sounds, and smells of the early 1500's in Bohemia. On other days you can view the centre as a static display - most of the establishments are still manned however. Attached to the historical centre is the Botanicus organic garden where plants are grown for use in their range of hand made cosmetics and food items.
