Languages At Work seeks to deliver top quality language instruction directly to the student's workplace and tailored to their needs and learning styles. As our students often face their share of stress in the workplace, we want them to look upon lessons as a breath of fresh air. This requires teachers who are energetic, creative, improvisational, and not least, fun. We also look for teachers who are committed to the teaching profession and who seek to gain experience in the TEFL field.
We seek to consider each of our students as human beings, who think and understand the world around them in a different way. Therefore we do not create a structure in which we can put our many students, but create the structure with the individual and develop a system which best suits their needs.
We have a relationship with our suppliers and teachers, which we consider very important, that is based on openness and trust. We believe that each of our representatives: supplier or teacher must be informed and supported, this creates a modern, efficient and happy team, which has a lot to do with our success.
We understand that our business depends on the types of relationships we support, and believe that openness, honesty, and clarity are the most valuable to harbor.
To date, word of mouth has brought the greatest number of students to LAW. In this manner, we have experienced a constant yet modest growth, which allows us to maintain high standards and a solid reputation among our students and teachers.
We create standards by which we are able to provide individualized, tailor-made lessons, which are effective and valuable. These quality standards have allowed us to remain among the top 10 language schools in the Czech Republic throughout our history.
Staff development is an integral concept to the LAW philosophy. We believe teachers should be learning at least as much as the student, whether about a host country's culture, a student's field of specialization, or simply about teaching itself. To this end, we provide a variety of support including a resource center with Internet access; a general book fund for new acquisitions; a compilation of Teacher book reviews; monthly methodology seminars; Teacher retreats and more.
