Spindleruv Mlyn is the most popular skiing centre not just in the Giant Mountains (Krkonose in Czech) but in the whole Czech Republic. It is situated about 715 - 1310 metres above the sea level where the Dolsky stream joins the river Labe. The town lies in the Giant Mountain National Park and extend in an area of 77 square kilometres and has got 4 parts - Predni Labska, Labska, Bedrichov and Svaty Petr. About 1300 inhabitants live there during the year in Spindleruv Mlyn and in the season this is increased to about 15,000 tourists.
Buses to Špindlerův Mlýn run from Černy Most bus station (at the north eastern end of Metro line B (Yellow) and take approximately 3 hours.
